My Story

In December 2022, our friend Tom Love passed away whilst on an incredible solo motorbiking journey around Africa.

Tom was utterly kind and caring, funny, and beautifully sociable – someone truly interested in and excited about everyone he met. Wise beyond his years, he managed to be both a really cool guy whilst at the same time a profoundly decent and friendly person. Looking back, we all derive a huge sense of joy and inspiration from how Tom approached life. He is sorely missed.

The Tom Love Trust has been set up in his memory. The Trust funds projects that support children and young people in deprived areas of the UK and Africa, improving access to healthcare and education, as well as developing young people’s horizons. These are causes which Tom would have held very close to his heart.

In memory of Tom, and his appetite for adventure, Ed Watson, James Watson and Tommy Davies are cycling the length of Norway this August 2024 to raise money for The Tom Love Trust. It will be a 3,100km (1,937 miles) adventure, starting at Lindesnes Fyr, Norway’s southernmost point, and ending in Nordkapp, Norway’s northernmost point. We will be wild camping throughout the journey and overall are hoping to complete the challenge in just under a month. We are grateful for any donations and all proceeds will be going directly to the Tom Love Trust and the projects it supports.
