My Story

Thanks to your generosity, we were able to raise over £2k in July 2023 for the Tom Love Trust through my Ironman 70.3 and motorbike trip from the UK to Liberia following a portion of Tom's riding route! This year, I'm doubling down on the distance and the fundraising target! I'll be taking part in Ironman Switzerland in July! The course, which is well known to Tom's brother Angus who managed to complete it in a sub 12 hour finish a couple years ago, is a 3.8km swim, 180km bike and a 42km run through the beautiful Swiss mountains. 

Having already raised £2k, we are hoping to raise a further £4k this year to hit a new £6k target! All funds go the The Tom Love Trust which operates under the ALMT Trust. More information on The Tom Love Trust can be found here: https://tomlovetrust.com/ 

I was lucky enough to have met and got to know Tom while he was on his adventure through Africa, all the way from the UK down to Southern Africa. We bonded quickly over our similar interests, particularly our love for Honda motorbikes but in fact it was Tom's inspiring nature which left the most impact on me. We spent hours discussing business ideas, farming life, but mostly which motorbikes we were both going to get next. In fact, my new Honda Africa Twin purchase was a result of our conversations. 

Sadly during his trip and while working in the DRC, Tom passed away at the age of 21. Although young, Tom had achieved more than many have in an entire life time. However, having known Tom he would have never stopped there! With the Tom Love Trust we can continue his legacy and raise money for causes close to Tom.
