My Story

Jack, Jacob, Nick, Owen and Rob: a group of friends based in Leamington Spa looking to raise some money for a cause close to our hearts and embark on a cool group challenge.

For those who aren't familiar, the Tom Love Trust was set up in Tom's memory after his sudden passing while working in the Democratic Republic of Congo in 2022. The trust reflects Tom's passion for adventure and community by supporting vulnerable young people from deprived communities across Africa and the UK. Recently funded projects include Child Hope, providing long term education in Ghana, and The Butterfly Tree, funding mosquito nets for children in Zambia.

Tom's brother Angus has been a close friend of mine (Owen) since we were 11, during which I've developed a lot of love for the Love family. As a friend of the family and an avid traveller myself who was incredibly inspired by Tom's journey, I believe this would be a nice way to show my appreciation, support, and admiration for the cool young man who I was privileged to have known. Joined by a great band of pals who've all become friends of Angus' through the years, we're excited to support an initiative that we all deeply care about.
